cello mental

Hurrah! The Waveney Strings email the date of their new term, starting in February. I’ve never been to WS before, but they were started by an ex-member of East London Late Starters Orchestra. ELLSO is a brilliant group where beginners and false beginners in their early 20s to late 80s all get together and make a horrible racket… I mean, harmonious sounds.

I played cello there when we lived in London and the end of term orchestra is an amazing and uplifting experience. And the privilege of being taught by such patient, talented professionals is very precious. It may be out of tune and out of time for the audience of friends and family, but the experience for its members is great.

So now that ELLSO is no longer part of my life, I can’t wait to get to WS and play in an orchestra again.
